#6 "Secret of Happiness" by Cara Esch

Cara Linehan Esch’s love of calligraphy and hand lettering arts started at an early age when her parents enrolled her in hieroglyphics and illuminated manuscript classes for children at the Museum of Fine Arts. She decided to turn her hobby into a full time business – Dear Rose Studio – in 2009, as it was the only way to rationalize a lifetime of hoarding paper products and personalized stationery. Cara has studied traditional alphabets at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC, but truly enjoys using these foundations to create unique and modern scripts. A native of the South Shore, Cara lives in Scituate with her husband, Tom, son, Gates, and Irish Jack Russell, Copley.
