Calling all storytellers!

Seaside Stories is a night of live, in-person storytelling hosted annually by Scituate Education Foundation at the Performing Arts Center at Scituate High School. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026.  Presenters are coached and supported via workshops (and one-on-one as needed) to hone their story and presentation leading up to the event.

We are seeking presenters who will:

  • Attend 4 workshops on Wednesdays January 28th, February 4th, 11th, and 18th from 7-9pm, in the Black Box Theater at Gates Middle School to receive coaching and support. (Note: if you need to miss one workshop, please let us know via email at info@scituateeducationfoundation.org)

  • Attend a dress rehearsal on the evening of February 27th and the final presentation on the evening of Saturday, February 28, 2026.

  • Be excited to craft an engaging story (approx. 8 minutes in length), provide supportive feedback to other presenters, and gain new skills, confidence, and friendships along the way.

Interested? Email us a voice note or audio clip of you telling a one-minute version of your story to info@scituateeducationfoundation.org. In your email, share your name and contact info. Stories can be about anything–they can be funny, heartwarming, poignant, mysterious, inspirational…and more! Think about your go-to story in a gathering of friends or family, the thing you still can’t believe actually happened, the thing that makes everyone laugh or even brings a tear to their eyes.

Submissions are due on or before Sunday, January 11th.
